Intumescent dampers have been designed and are manufactured to prevent the spread of fire through ducts or apertures in fire resisting elements such as partitions and doors.
Fire rated for 1 hour, intumescent fire blocks expand quickly when exposed to flames to create a barrier through which fire and smoke cannot pass.
The intumescent material is covered with a smooth finish to help prevent dust build up and aiding cleaning.
